The staff at Vein Central will communicate with your insurance company to verify that treatments
for your venous disease are covered services. Pre-certification for the
planned procedures is frequently required. The staff will address these administrative
hurdles with the insurance companies so that you only have to concentrate on following
the directions for optimal healing.
When the ultrasound tests demonstrate that the vein valves do not function correctly,
insurance companies will pay their portion of the cost of the appropriate treatment.
However, they all mandate that prescription compression stockings must be worn
by patients for a specified period of time prior to treatment.
Insurance companies, by contract, require Vein Central to collect co-payments
and deductibles for all office visits and procedures.
Sclerotherapy (vein injection) is considered cosmetic and is not a covered service
by insurance policies.
Currently, most insurance companies do not pay for the cost of prescription stockings.
